There are some problems with PackRat and the new Backpack API. I’m working on an update that will address these. So far, I’ve found that the following don’t work:
- Reordering lists. You can move the items around but if you move a list the upload will fail.
- Editing a page. If you change the page description, the upload will fail
- If you create or edit a page’s tags, then nothing happens on the upload
So far the only problem is with uploading changes. If you make one of these changes and then upload it will fail (except for the third one). PackRat will then be stuck on trying to upload these changes. At this point you will have to delete your data file and then resync with Backpack. If you made lots of other changes, then you will lose all those changes.
For now your best bet is to make changes a little at a time and then sync. That way if you run into problems you won’t loose much data. I’m working on getting an update out at soon as I can to address these issues. I’m shooting for some time this weekend.
